Artemisia D3033 the Dog needs a home
Artemisia, known as Sia in her foster home, is a gorgeous German Shepherd mix who was born in November of 2015. She is a very sweet and loyal girl who loves other dogs and does okay with cats. Sia loves being with her people, is very affectionate, and walks nicely on a leash. She is also very smart and enjoys learning new things, and is especially attentive when there are high value treats like cheese involved. Sia is house trained when kept on a schedule and is learning all about crate training, although she would prefer if her people were home all the time. Sia does great in the car and would enjoy a family who likes road trips as much as her.
Sia is a special girl and is what we call a tripod as she only has three legs. Don't let that fool you as she gets around just fine! Because of this, it will be important she maintains a slim and healthy weight to keep any extra pressure off her joints, which should not be hard as she makes such a great walking buddy. We do not know Sia's background, but she can be a little shy with new people and in new situations so it will be important her forever family recognizes this and is willing to spend time working on building her confidence. Sia would be best in a home without shared walls.
Overall, Sia is a great dog who is looking for a quiet and patient home with someone who can help her build some confidence. For the right person, Sia is going to make a wonderful family pet.
